Saying Good-Bye to 2020 and Hello to 2021

Wow, it has been a long year! While most of us are probably happy to see this year go, we've been reflecting on all this year has brought us and what we're excited about moving forward. Bottom line—even in a year that felt scary and impossible, good things still happened. We can't wait to share what's in store for Mackenzie & Co. in the new year:

What we're grateful for in 2020

We refreshed! Any small business owner knows that besides doing the actual work, you're also in charge of marketing too. We took the initial shut down to get some behind-the-scenes work done and re-design our website. It's now easier to navigate and shows off all the hard work we put into our projects, plus we've simplified how our clients contact us and understand what our process is like. We're so excited about it. If you haven't checked out the site, feel free to poke around a bit.

We're busier than ever! We've noticed that especially this year, people are especially appreciative of their homes and are looking for improvements to make them even more functional and beautiful. We're excited to assist clients in reconfiguring their spaces to accommodate home offices and children returning home (sometimes with their families in tow). We've also spoken to clients who are interested in redesigning their kitchens after putting it off for years. Working with a designer allows you to see a room with new eyes and with a fresh perspective on how to make your space more functional and stylish.

What we’re looking forward to in 2021

Two project reveals: We've got two beautiful project reveals coming up. One is for a home we designed in Naples, FL and the other is a 1930's Cape Cod cottage. We guarantee you'll love how beautiful and bright these spaces are.

A cabinet line: We've partnered with a cabinet vendor to fully realize every element of your kitchen design...down to the cabinetry. It's similar to how we work with custom designed pieces in other elements of your home, to offer you a truly bespoke look. You'll be able to shop our curated colors and style combinations soon. We can't wait to show you more!

Branding refresh: We’re working with the design team at Narrow Land to bring our company’s rebrand vision to life. Fonts, color palettes and our logo are all being updated to match our brand’s aesthetic and create a beautiful, cohesive presence on social media, print collateral, and here on our website. From mockups to edits and re-edits, we’ve enjoyed every step of the process, and the final results are coming together to create the perfect package for Mackenzie & Co.’s new look.

There's a big giveaway coming: We can't tell you with who, but we can tell you that it's going to be a huge value and it's definitely something you'll want to win. A hint: we've partnered up with a maker we love.

Continuing Lewis Bay project: Stay tuned for more developments from our very own home renovation. Our Cape home is a full-on construction zone but this project has been twenty(!) years in the making. If you need a little background, check out Chapter One here.
